Finding Your #ContentSquad: How to Choose the Perfect Content Creators



At Altitude, we're obsessed with creating amazing beauty and brands. We build brands strategically, with the marketing at the forefront of the concept creation. But let's be honest, even the most incredible brand needs the right light to shine! That's where content creators come in.


They're the storytellers, the trendsetters, the friends who introduce us to new things. That's why high-quality, diverse content is a key pillar of our brand strategy. It allows us to connect with you on a deeper level, showcase our products in action, and inspire your next beauty look.

Now, finding the perfect content creator here at Altitude isn't just about follower count (although reach is important!). 



Influencers and Influencing has moved on from ‘Hi Guys, welcome to my channel”. Influencers have changed the game and become content creators. We aren’t just woking with them to get posted on their page, we are working with them to get UGC and a huge variant of content, rather than just what you produce inhouse.


THIS MINDSET WAS A GAME CHANGER FOR US! We started to look at these relationships in a while new way and really started to understand just how much we can get with the right collabs. So how can you make this work for you?


First up is picking the right creators, Our 3 easy areas to align on before partnering:


  • Brand Values: Does this creator radiate the same confidence, kindness, and authenticity that Altitude celebrates? Look for content that reflects your brand personality.

  • Target Audience: They might have millions of followers, but are they the millions you want to reach? Consider demographics, interests, and content style to ensure alignment.

  • Content Style: Do they create engaging tutorials, fun reviews, or captivating stories? Find creators who can showcase your products in a way that resonates with your audience.



Remember, influencers are amazing content creators, but the content is just one piece of the puzzle.  So hoe can we go beyond a basic post and get content that truly sings? 


  • Collaboration, Not Dictation: Partner with creators, not employees! Provide a brief and brand guidelines, but give them the freedom to express their unique voice.

  • The Power of Recommendation: Did you know 73% of Gen Z and 84% of Millennials say recommendations and reviews influence their purchases. Collaborations with trusted content creators build trust and drive sales. [Source: Influencer Marketing Hub]


Using content for multiple aims and purposes is key. This coupled with using the content for multiple platforms and multiple post can take your impact to a new level


Building long-term relationships with content creators is key. Get to know each other, like dating, what makes them tick, how can they use their unique style to present your brand in a different way? Yes, you are tapping into their audience but you are also tapping into their creative skills.  


Next is the science. Share what did and didn’t work, review with them how the posts landed and perhaps if it has disappointed, you can uncover hy, Then you know by the next time. Here's how to make it work:


  • Data Sharing is Caring: Share relevant sales data and audience insights with your creators. This helps them tailor content to what resonates most.

  • Track What Works: Analyze engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares) to see which content performs best. This helps you and your creators optimize future collaborations.


Remember, content creation is a two-way street. By understanding your audience's engagement and fostering genuine partnerships with creators, you'll unlock the full potential of your Content Squad, reaching new heights (and cheekbones) together!
